April 24, 2008:Sunseeker Yachts: Sunseeker Yachts of the UK have recently acquired a hefty piece of equipment in the form of a travel lift. As Sunseeker builds larger vessels, they need the versatility to maneuver these larger yachts in and around the yard.

For this they invested in a 260 tonne Travel Lift. It can handle vessels up to 47M long and 260 tonnes. With a larger compliment of vessels in development the new travel lift will see its purpose put into stride.

I have looked at both boats. According to most of the listings, both boats weigh 63,800 lbs. The 64 is 66'11" LOA with a beam of 16'3"; 62 is 64'4" LOA with a slightly wider beam of 16'5".

According to Sunseeker info, with the same Man V10-1100 engines, the 62 looks to be a more efficient hull - burns less fuel with a better range at cruise RPM. Anyone have first hand knowledge of the ride comparison between the two boats assuming similar engines.

I am the proud new owner of a 2005 55' Predator. I am also a die hard DIY-er with lot's of experience but for sure maintaining this will present a few challenges.

It looks like there are some panels in the garage that can be removed for access to the rear of the engine room. Does anyone know how to remove them?

Next on my list is a detailed wiring diagram. Can anybody point me to a contact at the factory or someplace else to get one?

I am the new owner of a 1999 Sunseeker Manhattan 48. I'm getting to know the boat but am a little perplexed by the warning lights on the helm.
The fist two seem easy enough; Water Temperature and Oil Pressure. And the third one might be Oil Temp? but the fourth one I have no idea.

Bonjour,

So we have a 115 Sport powered by MTU 2000 series V16's

Sludge (waste fuel oil) tank has four engine connections to it and one from the fuel polish unit.
There is a pump out port (with a QD connector) on a pickup tube (as expected) and *a tank vent that is on a welded bung that has an pickup tube as well.

Now that is what I am wondering about, that tank vent on the other pickup tube. How does that work and is it the correct application???...

Hi everybody!

I'm hoping someone here can help me out.. I have a Sunseeker Superhawk 48' (1999) and there is an awful smell that I can't seem to get rid of.

Insights:

• Horrible stench from inside the boat cabin and cockpit.
• When the engine turns on, it seems like the smell gets worse.
• Boat hasn't been used very much in two years.

Has anybody here ever experienced something like this - or have any suggestions to help resolve this issue?...

Looking to buy a 1995 Sunseeker 55 Camargue. I chose this boat because of price, accommodations (prefer3 staterooms) and that ive always like the design of sunseekers among other britsh based boats. . I was looking at an azimut 46 (2x the price but 2000my) and have been looking at the fairline targa 46 (2 staterooms). I do prefer the targa 52 but way out of my budget. Ive also looked at sea ray but sunseeker seems to be a little higher quality.

Anyone have an idea on prop size for 2005 Sunseeker Portofino 46 with TAMD 75p Volvos? 480hp. We bought the boat used and the previous owner did not keep build specs. Had a mishap on the lake . We have to pull the boat but thought about buying new props prior to the pull for expediency sake.

This is for a 1997 51' Sunseeker Camargue. We have a strong odor and want to investigate hoses, sensor wires connections etc. but can not locate the Tank. From schematics it appears to be under the floor at the bottom of the stairs to the salon. The previous owner had a new hardwood floor installed and I am wondering if the access hatches were covered over, or were the stairs suppose to be removeable. The same goes for the water tank access (there is none). Although 4 other access hatches...

I have a 2003 Sunseeker Predator 68. I have a centerline fuel tank leak. Once I isolated the saddle tank feeds, the leak stopped, so I am guessing the link is at the top of the centerline tank. Anyone see anything like this before or any thoughts on where I should look?

I just purchased a 1999 Sunseeker Predator 58. Looking for the best place to purchase switches, parts and any suggestions would be appreciated. It is a fresh water 400 hour Mann diesels and boat has been out of the water for a few years. Interior and Exterior of the boat is super clean. The dash board is being replaced and need all new switches, lights, electronics etc... Thank you!

Have recently heard first hand of two 2018 Sunseeker 66 caught on fire. One totaled in NC and other recently sunk between the Bahamas and Miami. Nobody killed. Really concerning. Any thoughts or experiences out there fellow Captains?

Does anyone know what might prevent my stbd engine from cranking?

28VDC to starter box is good
IGN switch starts port engine when switched
Throttle position sensor was jumped so it’s not the problem
on Pos starts blower and glow plug relay positive

Man Mechanic says starters never go bad and it’s not clicking either so no solenoid sound.

bad solenoid could be the answer but it seems like it’s a cutoff instead.

batteries fully charged as well and power to starter relay is good

Hi I'm new here. Trying to get to "Sunseeker" but cant find how. I have 2000 SS56 Predator. Love it but 600ltr water is never enough. I want to add a water bladder of up to 250 ltr if possible. I have plans showing current water tank and black tank, but no plan on diesel tank. It looks under the rear berth. Anyone confirm, and more importantly anyone added a bladder? A water maker is another problem I don't need.

Hello all,
Anyone familiar with the G4 bulbs used in the salon overhead lights? I believe they are 24vdc. Cannot read the wattage at all, assume it is or was marked on the bulb at one time. They are wired in series it seems, 2 lights per circuit. I bought some 24vdc 20watt bulbs but they are much dimmer than the original bulbs. Not entirely sure what i should be using?

We have a 2017 Sunseeker Manhattan 55. The rain showers used to flow great, but now the flow has been reduced to a drip. Water pressure throughout the boat including the hand showers is very good, but when you pull the stopper to initiate the rain shower, there seems to be some sort of blockage, which is occuring the same way in both showers. Hey guys I’m getting a code 180 on both engines. I’ve had Mtu mechanics come down and diagnose it and they couldn’t figure it out. Anyone ever had this issue. The boat runs fine until the codes come on. Once the codes come in we have a little bit of a rough idle around 1500 rpm’s. Please help. Thank you
